The Sandy Springs Society will celebrate “10 Years of Holiday Cheer” during its “shopping for a cause” fundraiser The Elegant Elf Marketplace, a two-day gift market featuring more than 80 carefully curated local and regional artisans and small business owners who offer hand-crafted items, exquisite artistic creations, holiday décor, exquisite home furnishings, clothing and accessories for all ages, and the latest gourmet treats.
Established in 2011, The Elegant Elf Marketplace is a treasured tradition for shoppers throughout metro Atlanta seeking unique, quality merchandise; a jumpstart on holiday shopping (including all the host & hostess gifts one will need), a way to support small businesses and an alternative to the mall and big box experiences.
Legendary University of Georgia Coach Vince Dooley and renowned artist Steve Penley will be at the Marketplace on Sunday, Nov. 14 from 2-3 p.m. for a special signing of their collaboration, “Dooley's Playbook: the 34 Most Memorable Plays in Georgia Football History.” The book and a few of their other works will be available for purchase at the Marketplace.
The Sandy Springs Society, a charitable organization of women dedicated to improving the quality of life in Sandy Springs by supporting nonprofits that promote the arts, heritage, education, the environment and social services in Sandy Springs, Ga. To date, the Society has awarded grants of more than $4.39 million through its annual grants process.
