MCMA Sculpting with Clay

Learn techniques for manipulating clay without using a pottery wheel. You can make a vessel using slabs or coils, create two-dimensional relief landscapes, or sculpt forms inspired by people, animals, and architecture.

Beginning Sculpting with Clay – Ages 11+
Day: Thursday
Time: 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Dates: August 17 – September 21, 2023 (6-Week Session)
Fees: $265/$285
Learn techniques for manipulating clay without using a pottery wheel. You can make a vessel using slabs or coils, create two-dimensional relief landscapes, or sculpt forms inspired by people, animals, and architecture. Sheila will guide you through the techniques and help you to create projects around your interests. This session is appropriate for adults and youth age 11+.
All supplies are included, and you’ll leave class with at least one finished piece.
