Explore the great outdoors and its inhabitants at Fernbank’s inaugural Nature Fest family fun day. Activities include nature walks, plant discoveries, pavilion programs and much more.

Atlanta Wild Animal Rescue Effort
Meet animal ambassadors like an owl and a flying squirrel to learn about wild animal rescue efforts in Georgia.

Georgia Department of Natural Resources
Join the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center education staff to get up close and personal with some of the Piedmont's most interesting native wildlife.  

Chattahoochee Nature Center
Meet live reptiles and enjoy a nature-themed craft.

Animal Tracks
Create clay-impression animal tracks of some of your favorite critters.

Nature Bingo
Discover trees, flowers, wildlife and more in this fun game.

Dora the Explorer
Meet everyone’s favorite explorer, Dora, as she discovers the beauty of nature at Fernbank.

iNaturalist
Become a citizen scientist as you explore the inhabitants of Fernbank’s campus and record your observations with this smartphone app.

King of Pops**
Available for Purchase on the Terrace 
Indulge in an icy treat on the terrace with King of Pops.

Nature Explorations
10:30am – 12:30pm, Kendeda Pavilion 
Explore nature through ecologically-focused activities to learn about the wild and wonderful environment.

Nature Walks 
Weather-permitting 
11am, 12pm, 2pm, Kendeda Pavilion 
Get a closer look at nature and learn how to identify wildflowers during this hour-long program.

Treetop Tales 
1pm, Kendeda Pavilion 
Preschoolers will enjoy Fernbank’s inaugural outdoor storytelling program with an educator. This week’s story is A Log’s Life by Wendy Pfeffer and illustrated by Robin Brickman.

Cost: Included with Museum admission and free for members
