Single Parenting Support Circle

Single parents (widowed, divorced, sole parent/caregiver, or co-parent), join us on Second Thursdays from 8-9pm for our Single Parenting Support Circle! Being a single parent can be a hard job. You have to do everything yourself and often do not have the support of other friends or family who understand the daily struggles. This group serves as that support and a safe place to express feelings, challenges and ask questions among other parents who “get it.” This group is co-facilitated by Becky Jagla, Parenting Village Advisory Board Member and single mother of two, and Shawna Peterson, LMSW, Nurture Program Coordinator and mother of three.

We welcome anyone to join whether you find yourself struggling and in need of extra support or merely want a connection and social time with others.
Circles are supportive groups facilitated by Parenting Village professionals with experience in family relationships and infant/child development. These groups offer parents the opportunity to share their joys and challenges with one another in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. In Circles, parents make meaningful connections, learn and grow together, and receive the support that they need to offer the best of themselves to their children.
