Travis Manion Foundation is a national organization that brings military veterans to communities to discuss character, service and leadership. On Thursday, July 23, a TMF Character Does Matter mentor will lead a conversation about the book Catching the Moon, by Crystal Hubbard. This inspiring story is based on the childhood of Marcenia “Toni Stone” Lyle Alberga, an African-American girl who grew up to become the first woman to play for an all-male professional baseball team. The group will view a read-along recording of the book, available here: https://www.storylineonline.net/books/catching-the-moon-the-story-of-a-y.... Note: This presentation is best geared to 3rd to 5th graders. Registration required.
